A little about me
I’m a wife, a mom of four, and one of five kids myself, so family dynamics have pretty much been part of my life forever. I also came from a complicated family, and honestly, I think that’s where my interest in relationships, family patterns and why people become who they are really started — long before I ever thought about becoming a therapist.
I went back to school later in life to do this work, and I truly believe all of my different life experiences led me here. I bring all of it into the room with me: the training, and the real life.
How I approach the work
I work with kids, teens, adults and couples. What that looks like in real life is that I look at the whole person, not just the symptom. I want to understand what you’re dealing with right now, where some of those patterns may have started, and how your relationships and family have shaped you along the way. Then we work on practical tools so things can actually start to feel different.
Behind the scenes, my work is integrative and trauma-informed. It’s grounded in person-centered therapy, guided by a family-systems and attachment lens, and draws on approaches like CBT, ACT and EFT depending on what you need. You don’t need to know what any of those letters mean to feel comfortable in my office, though.

Beyond the therapy room
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exercising, or in my kitchen cooking for my family with some old-school music playing (think Frank Sinatra). I love a good book, too. I also love entertaining, travel, and finding great gifts, products and restaurants — all of those little things I’m constantly sending to friends. Therapy is the heart of The Listening Room, but I’ve always pictured it growing with me.
