This notice covers thelisteningroombydom.com, the website of The Listening Room by Dominique Balldin. It explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

This website is not part of therapy

Nothing you share through this website becomes part of a therapy or clinical record, and this website is not a way to reach Dominique about therapy. Therapy scheduling and clinical services are provided through Restore Behavioral Health, which keeps its own records and has its own privacy practices, including its Notice of Privacy Practices for clients. Please don't send health, therapy, or other confidential information through this website.

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

The contact form

The professional inquiry form collects the name, email address, topic, and message you choose to send, so Dominique can reply. Your message is delivered to her by email through our email service provider, Resend. It is not saved in a database on this website. Like any email, it stays in her inbox until she deletes it, and Resend keeps a delivery record for a limited time.

The form is for professional inquiries such as speaking and collaboration. It is not a therapy intake form or an emergency service.

Email updates

If you sign up to get new writing by email, the only information collected is your email address. You will first receive a confirmation email, and you are added to the list only after you click the link in it.

Your address is kept by Resend and used only to send new posts and occasional notes from The Listening Room. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also ask to be removed by emailing dominique@dominiqueballdin.com.

Visit statistics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate, for example how many people viewed a page and which kind of device they used. It does not use cookies, and it is not used to identify you or follow you across other websites.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most websites, its servers automatically process basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. This information is not used to identify you.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies it sets are for the people who edit the site, when they sign in to do so.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers named above, who handle it only to run this website and its email.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, such as Instagram and Restore Behavioral Health. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Children

This website is intended for adults. Parents and guardians looking for therapy for a child or teen should contact Restore Behavioral Health directly. Children should not send information through the contact form.

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you've sent through this website, or ask any privacy question, by emailing dominique@dominiqueballdin.com.
